FA-78-3 Full Armor Gundam 7th

Yet another of my early custom color scheme builds but unlike the previous, I actually am proud of this one. The story is, I got the FA-78-3 kit cause I really like the design incorporating that Active Mass Balance Auto-Control (AMBAC) and Long-Range Beam Cannon over the shoulder.

What I didn't like was the color scheme, which made it look almost toy-ish, thus forcing me to go with the traditional green/orange Full Armor color scheme. I remembered being frustrated by the orange paint and also being a struggling student with barely enough budget to support the green spraycans. Oh good ol' days [Actually, they're not. They're terrible days...]

Everything about this Gundam screams armor/armaments. It's a really solid kit, with good articulation, particularly in the elbow and knee section since it uses that double-linkage thingy, instead of straightforward pegs and polycaps.

The details are also gorgeous, with the panel lines just being sufficient. The only bad point would arguably be the hollow parts making up the sides of the AMBAC backpack. But your focus would be on the shoulder cannons, which is quite an admirable gun.

Don't be fooled by the bulk though, it is still shorter than the likes of your Nu Gundam/Unicorn/Ex-S but in the gun size department, it's quite well equipped. No backpack weight issues either on this kit.

Other than being a pretty stable and fun to build kit, there's nothing much to point out except for the slight gap on the shield part. Don't go spending your time trying to force fit it, there'll always be a slight gap in between the shield, which I believe is the design itself. You have to build it to kinda know what I'm on about.

Good, fun and pretty underrated kit. I'll give it a 7.8/10. Recommended especially for fans of Full Armor Gundams.
